A woman found assaulted on Flora Avenue on Thursday has died from injuries and a suspect now faces a murder charge.
Officers and emergency crews responded to a report of an injured woman in the 400 block of Flora Avenue around 8 a.m. on Oct. 8.
The woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Police identified the woman killed as Selena Rose Keeper, 20.
An investigation uncovered that a couple had gone to the residence. A male suspect assaulted the victim in the upper body, said police. Witnesses tried to intervene, but the assault continued and the victim was left unconscious outside.
Officers located a suspect shortly after 1 p.m. in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Ray William Everett, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder.
