A new store has popped up in Winnipeg, but you don't need money to shop there.

Music filled the air at the Street Store in Old Market Square. It is being dubbed as the first free pop-up clothing store for the poor.

All the clothes and goods come from donations and everything is free. The store-like set up is meant help people in need feel more positive about what they wear.

"Very often when things are handed out it’s basically, ‘I need a pair of jeans,’ ‘Here’s a pair of jeans. Here’s what you need.’ But today everybody gets to pick out what they need, what they like and what fits them," said Lola Eidse.

Organizers say the intention of the pop-up store is to help bridge the gap between the haves and have-nots.
