RCMP have laid charges in the murder of a 51-year-old man in northern Manitoba.
Officers found Lawrence Moses Redhead dead in a home in Shamattawa around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Numerous law enforcement agencies became involved in the investigation, including the Winnipeg serious crimes unit, Thompson major crime unit and Shamattawa RCMP.
By Saturday officers had made an arrest in the case.
Reynold John Neepin, 35, has been charged with manslaughter. RCMP said Redhead and Neepin were known to each other before Redhead was killed.
An autopsy has yet to be completed on Redhead, and police are continuing to investigate.
Neepin is being held in custody until a Thompson court date on July 5.
