Friends and family of Amanda Frizzley gathered early Tuesday morning to remember the tow truck driver who was killed a year ago today. Music was played, and candles lit in her honour.

26-year-old Frizzley was driving a tow truck, clearing the streets for a fundraising cancer walk last year when her truck was hit by an SUV.

The crash was captured on a nearby surveillance camera, where a green SUV could be seen going the wrong way down York Avenue. A few moments later, the SUV and Frizzley's truck collided.

Her family and friends used the memorial to remind people about the dangers of drinking and driving.

21-year-old Steven Watkins is charged with impaired driving causing death. A preliminary trial is set for October 22nd.
