A meeting between two men who knew each other turned violent Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m., the two men met at a residence in the 300 block of Madison Street.
Police said during the meeting, a 29-year-old man was shot in the lower body; he ran away and called police.
The victim is in stable condition.
The suspect fled and an investigation is now underway by the major crime unit.
