Where is Olympic content on CTVWinnipeg.ca?

During the London 2012 Olympic Games, you can count on amazing coverage of the Games from CTV on your television and from our sister site CTVOlympics.ca online.

The extensive digital coverage of London 2012 will include live video streaming, athlete profiles, photo galleries, trivia questions, broadcast schedules and more, right through to the Closing Ceremony on Aug.12.

During the Games, you’ll notice little Olympics content on this website as we push it all to CTVOlympics.ca. This is in compliance with Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium rules.

These rules and temporary changes to our on-air schedule mean changes to some of our local and national newscasts. These changes include:

CTV Morning Live will be pre-empted during the Olympics starting Monday, July 30 and will return Monday, Aug. 13
CTV News at Noon will be pre-empted starting Friday, July 27 and will return Monday, Aug. 13. A 10 minute webcast will be available each day at CTVWinnipeg.ca
CTV News at Six will air a half hour show from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on July 27 and Aug. 12
The newscast may be shortened due to Olympic content
Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo will be on hiatus, returning Aug. 18 at its regular time at 5:30 p.m.
Restricted access to online videos of our newscasts to Canadians only
All Olympic features and news will live on CTVOlympics.ca, not on CTVNews.ca or CTVWinnipeg.ca

CTV Winnipeg will continue to offer a full hour on CTV News at Six on all weekdays not listed above and provide a complete wrap-up to your day at 11:30 p.m. each night. Plus, for the latest breaking news, top local stories, weather and much more, please stay with CTVWinnipeg.ca online via our website and Twitter throughout your day.
