One of the highest-profile Winnipeg Jets is now expected to face charges for boating while intoxicated in Minnesota.

The office of Steve Tallen, a Lake Minnetonka Conservation lawyer, confirms a criminal complaint against Dustin Byfuglien has been prepared but has not been filed yet. That is expected to be completed by the end of September.

The 26-year-old was arrested at the end of August on suspicion of boating while intoxicated.

Byfuglien won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010 before being traded to the Atlanta Thrashers and later becoming a Winnipeg Jet.
