A Hamilton, Ont. man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop just outside of Winnipeg.
Police said Michael Samdass, 36, was pulled over by police around 1 p.m. Thursday for speeding near Headingley. A small amount of marijuana and stacks of cash in excess of $19,000 was found in the vehicle and seized by police. Officials believe they were from criminal activity.
The Hamilton man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
An investigation is ongoing.
