Mayoral candidate Judy Wasylycia-Leis says a brochure criticizing opponent Brian Bowman is about presenting clear policy differences between the two candidates and not personality politics.

"This is real life. This is politics,” she said. “You know, if you want to talk about personal attacks, he's the master of it in this campaign, something I've tried to avoid"

Bowman said he thinks the image of him on the brochure’s cover was altered to make him look bad. "I think it’s very poor form to see an image which has obviously been doctored and Photoshopped or altered,” he said.

“There is lots of unflattering pictures of me out there to choose from and this smacks of desperation."

Wasylycia-Leis says the photo wasn't Photoshopped.

Today Brian Bowman stopped at The Forks to shake hands as part of what he calls a blitz to visit all 15 wards in Winnipeg on the same day.

He says he's following Twitter and going where people want to see him.

According the recent CTV Winnipeg /Winnipeg Free Press poll, Bowman is in second place in the race for mayor.
