A driver is facing charges for a hit-and-run crash that sent another motorist to hospital, said Winnipeg police.

The collision happened round 6:30 a.m. May 31at Hargrave Street and McDermot Avenue.

Police said the driver of a Chevy Silverado fled the scene after the crash.

The driver of a Toyota 4Runner was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Officers located the suspect later Friday in the St. Boniface area and took him into custody.

A 33-year-old man from Winnipeg will face charges for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and Highway Traffic Act offence of failing to remain at the scene of an accident, said police.
