A former Hells Angels member has been granted full parole after serving less than half his sentence.

Ian Grant was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison in 2007. He was arrested in an undercover sting and later convicted of extortion and drug trafficking.

Grant got day parole in June 2012.

The Correctional Service of Canada recommended full parole, and says Grant has a "positive future outlook" and poses a low risk of committing another offence.

Conditions include a curfew, staying away from drugs and gang members.
