Fresh off a three-day holiday break, the Winnipeg Jets took on the Wild in Minnesota Saturday night.

John Curry was in the crease for Minnesota, on emergency recall from the AHL, after Darcy Kuemper was too sick to start.

The Jets also made their own headlines, starting Michael Hutchinson for the second straight game. He looked good early, but late in the first, the wild strike, Mikeal Granlund squeaked one through.

It was 1-0 for Minnesota after one period.

The Winnipeg Jets square it in an ugly second period. Grant Clitsome's shot was blocked, but Bryan Little swooped in, and shoveled a hard backhand through the wickets on the backup, to the backup.

The score sat at 1-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Early in the third period, Evander Kane wired a shot. Adam Lowry out-muscled everyone to the rebound and shoveled it home, putting the score at 2-1 Winnipeg.

That lead disappeared in an instant. Jason Pominville blew a clapper through Hutchinson, the score became 2-2.

With the jets down a man, but in full flight, Kane passed to Blake Wheeler. A shorthanded goal makes it 3-2.

On the same power play, the wild tie it again, with a deflected puck off Thomas Vanek and Dustin Byfuglien.

A score of 3-3 would push the game into overtime.

Andrew Ladd fired a high shot off the glass. It bounced right back out front and Grant Clitsome bat at it. He missed, giving Ladd an ugly goal, but a good one.

Jets nab both points with a 4-3 overtime win.
