Manitoba RCMP have charged a 23-year-old man with manslaughter after a 20-year-old woman was found dead in a Thompson apartment in the early morning hours of January 31.
Police say they were called to the apartment for the report of an injured woman and determined she had been the victim of a homicide.
Ronald Lee Clark Spence of Thompson has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on March 6.
The name of the deceased has not been made public.
