A 28-year-old man faces a charge in the killing of a woman in Winnipeg on April 9.

The victim and her boyfriend had been involved in a verbal argument in the 100 block of Barrington Avenue in St. Vital, said police.

The victim was then stabbed in the upper body and the suspect had another person drive them to Victoria Hospital, said police.

Officers said she went to hospital around 1 a.m. on April 9, but died from injuries.

Officers identified the victim as Beverly Custer, 34.

Keith Alexander Wallace, 28, of Winnipeg faces a charge for manslaughter, said police.
