Police are still looking for two men after arresting five others in connection with a string of violent incidents in Swan River in September.

In the early hours on Sept. 17, police were called to the parking lot of a hotel in Swan River, where some individuals tried to spray others with bear mace.

When the people responsible for the spraying were fleeing, they hit two people with their pickup truck, causing minor injuries, RCMP said.

Around 3 a.m., Swan River RCMP learned that a house on 1st Street North had been shot at in a drive-by incident, although no one was there when officers arrived at the house. Police said the shooting was related to the incident in the hotel parking lot.

The next morning around 8:30 a.m., police were called to the scene of a vehicle and house fire on a farm near Bowsman, Man., three kilometres west of Highway 10. They found two injured men, who told police they were sleeping when several people broke into the house, took them outside, tied and beat them.

The vehicle was then lit on fire, and the fire spread to the house.
