NewLeaf Travel Company is taking a passenger rights advocate to court.
NewLeaf touched down for the first time in Winnipeg this week.
CTV News has learned of a defamation lawsuit the company filed against Gabor Lukacs, who operates a site called Air Passenger Rights.
NewLeaf alleges Lucacs posted false and malicious statements about the company on the site and on Twitter.
Court documents cite this post, and others.
When CTV News reached out to Lukacs, he said he didn't know about the lawsuit.
"I have not been served with any court papers by NewLeaf, and I am quite troubled by what transpires as the media appearing to know more than me," he wrote in an email.
"One is left wondering about the true purpose and motive of what transpires as litigation-by-media."
