Several people face a long list of charges after a man was “viciously” assaulted inside a home on Cathedral Avenue and the dropped off outside the city without proper clothing.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, went to a house where a group of people had gathered on Oct. 11 around 3 p.m.

Multiple suspects pulled out weapons, preventing the victim from leaving, police said. They forced him to the ground in the lower level of the house and someone pointed a BB-style gun at the victim and fired it several times, police said.

The victim was restrained and assaulted, causing multiple injuries, police said.

After taking various personal items, the suspects drove the victim outside the city, inappropriately dressed for the weather.

The victim made it to a nearby business and police were called.

The next day on Oct. 12, police pulled a vehicle over near the 600 block of Cathedral Avenue and found property belonging to the victim, along with drugs and a modified shotgun, police said. They took three men into custody.

Officers then surrounded the house on Cathedral and eventually three people were safely removed from the home, police said.
