Winnipeg police are looking for a suspect who is accused of robbing a senior.

Officers received reports at 3:45 p.m. of a man in his 60s being approached by an unknown man at Grant’s Old Mill Park.

Police said the suspect demanded money from the victim, who was using a walker for mobility assistance.

Before the victim could respond, the suspect assaulted and knocked him to the ground, where he continued to assault him, police said.

According to WPS, once the suspect took the money from the victim, he threatened him if he tried to contact police.

The suspect is around 6feet(183 centimetres) in height, short brown hair, dark eyes and spoke with slight accent. He was wearing a blue coloured baseball hat, shorts and T-shirt.
