Officers issued a public advisory about the upcoming release from jail of a convicted sex offender they consider at high risk to reoffend.
Winston George Thomas, 35, is being released from Headingley Correctional Centre on Feb. 24 and is expected to live in Winnipeg, said police.
Thomas has several previous convictions.
Despite Thomas’s participation in some sex offender treatment programs in jail, police said he is considered at high risk to reoffend, and women of all ages are at risk of sexual violence.
Police said any vigilante actions against Thomas will not be tolerated.
If you have information regarding Thomas, you can speak to a police officer directly by calling the Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit at 204-984-1888.
