Snow sculptures are beginning to take shape across Winnipeg in preparation for this year’s Festival du Voyageur, turning blocks of snow into works of art.

One emerged overnight at Osborne Street and River Avenue. Others can be seen at St. Mary’s Road and Marion Street, along Provencher Boulevard and St. Jean Baptiste Street, and at other locations around the city.

With temperatures staying cool, the sculptures are coming into their own.

The festival officially kicks off on February 15th and runs until the 24th.
