Southwestern Manitoba can expect to see 10 – 20 centimetres of snow by Sunday evening and an extra 10 centimetres on Sunday night.

The snowfall comes from a weather system moving up from the Dakotas over the weekend.

The warnings affect the entire southwest corner of the province, including the area around Brandon. The system is expected to move as far north as Dauphin and as far east as Carberry.

The weather is expected to improve on Monday, but temperatures will remain chilly.

Southeastern parts of the province can expect to get lingering snowfall as a result of the same system.
