Three teenagers are facing charges after several reports of break-ins and assaults.

Winnipeg police said on July 21 around 4:20 a.m., residents of a home in the 5600 block of Rannock Ave. reported their home was being robbed. The residents told police they were pepper sprayed by an unknown male, who eventually left with one of the resident’s vehicles

On July 23, police received a report of a break-in to a home in the 100 block of Wendon Way around 6:30 a.m. Police said two people forced their way inside, armed with a firearm. Two of the residents were assaulted, police said, and the suspects left with property.

One victim suffered minor injuries, while the other was transported to hospital and treated for cuts and bruising.

Later that morning, around 7:30 a.m., two youths contacted police to say they were riding their bikes near Aberdeen Ave. and Salter St. when a male pointed a firearm at them. Police said the victims were ordered to get off of their bikes, and then chased for a short distance.

Police arrested three youths later that day: two males and one female.

An 18-year-old male is being charged with 20 different offences including assault with a weapon, armed robbery and theft over $5,000.

Police also arrested and charged a 15-year-old male and 17-year-old female with numerous charges including armed robbery.
