A Winnipeg woman with experience helping paralyzed dogs received a special delivery on Saturday.
Brenda Johnson wanted to help a disabled dog living in London, Ontario, but didn’t know how to get the Dachshund to Winnipeg. She reached out to trucking company Bison Transport for help, and they agreed to drive the paralyzed dog to her.
On Saturday, five-year-old Peanut arrived and Johnson picked him at Bison Transport’s warehouse.
Peanut’s former owner had to give him up because she was returning to work after going on maternity leave, and she didn’t want Peanut to sit painfully in a crate all day.
