Veterans Affairs is offering to help pay to send Second World War vets to Italy for Remembrance Day ceremonies.
They're offering $2,000 to help pay for the trip for soldiers who served in the Italian campaign during war.
As CTV reported last year, wreaths decorated in Manitoba were sent overseas to Ortona, Italy for the first Remembrance Day ceremony.
It sparked as response from hundreds of Canadians, who sent thousands of flags and gifts to Italy.
During the Second World War, 93,000 Canadians fought to liberate Italy and nearly 6,000 Canadians died. A quarter of them rest in Ortona.
The 70th anniversary of the campaign takes place from November 24 to 28.
For veterans wanting to travel, a registration form is available on the Veterans Affairs website.
