OTTAWA - The Juno Awards will be held tonight in the nation's capital, but some musicians have already won.

Feist and the Sheepdogs won two Junos each as the bulk of the year's awards were handed out last night at a dinner gala in Ottawa.

Drake won for rap recording of the year, Hedley took the prize for pop album of the year and Terri Clark claimed the award for country album of the year.

There were plenty of surprises on the evening as well.

Hamilton's Arkells beat out Nickelback and Sam Roberts Band for group of the year while Winnipeg's Ken Mode won the inaugural metal/hard music album of the year award.

Drake, Michael Buble and Justin Bieber still hold multiple nominations going into tonight's show, which will be hosted by Star Trek icon William Shatner.
