Summer has arrived, but some taps in Winnipeg are still frozen. There are still 38 properties hooked up to a temporary hose line and 68 properties waiting for thawing service, according to figures posted on the city's website.

The city says the depth of the frost in some places is more than two metres. It says even though it's warmer outside, people who have been advised to run your taps should continue to do so, and be aware some pipes are harder to thaw than others.

Since November, 2013 there have been more than 2,500 reports of frozen pipes.
