Police have raided a Winnipeg home and seized $40,000 in drugs and $4,500 in cash.

On June 4, 2009 at 3:10 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service Organized Crime Unit raided a home in the 400 block of Machray Avenue.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of 33 ounces of Cocaine with an estimated street value of almost $40,000.00.

Police also seized just under $4,500.00 in Canadian currency and a variety of drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Twenty-five-year-old Blake Lorne Lamoureux of Winnipeg and 26-year-old Jasmine Lotfi were arrested in connection with the matter.

The pair has been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possessing the proceeds of crime.

Lotfi was also charged with failing to comply with conditions of her parole.

Both remain in custody pending their first court appearance.
