First-degree murder charge laid in death of senior, 96, in MacGregor

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of Niels “Arne” Nielsen.

The 96-year-old man was found dead on May 25 in MacGregor.

The town is located about 130 km west of Winnipeg.

Jason Conway, 21, of MacGregor faces a charge of first-degree murder in the case, said RCMP.

Police continue to investigate. The underwater recovery team was in the town on June 2.
