Liberals visit northern First Nation to shed light on lack of running water

Provincial and federal Liberal leaders are visiting St. Theresa Point First Nation on Friday to raise awareness about the lack of running water in many homes.

Jon Gerrard and Bob Rae will join MKO Grand Chief, David Harper, for a tour of the remote First Nation, which is only accessable by plane.

The leaders are making the trip to draw attention to the critical need for access to clean running water for 1,400 Manitoba households.

  The city says the order was lifted on Friday after tests showed the water was safe to drink.
