A kitchen fire caused extensive damage to a two-storey house in the 300 block of King Edward Street Monday night.
A spokesman for the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says the occupants of the home were already safely out when fire crews arrived just before 9 p.m.
There is no estimate of the cost of the fire yet, but the fire department says there was extensive smoke damage throughout the house.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
