A 21-year-old female construction worker has died after being hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon, said RCMP.

Officers and emergency crews were called to the collision around 4 p.m. on Highway 207, between the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 15.

A Chrysler Intrepid was headed north on Highway 207 when it struck the woman, a signal person working in a construction zone, said RCMP.

The victim was rushed to hospital in serious condition, but died of her injuries. She has been identified as Brittany Murray, 21, of Winnipeg, said RCMP.

The Intrepid was being driven by a 67-year-old man from the RM of Springfield.

Officers continue to investigate the crash.
