RCMP say a gas station in the RM of Springfield was robbed Saturday afternoon.

Officers say a man, who was armed with a weapon, walked into the business at around 2:30 p.m. demanding cash. The suspect fled after the clerk handed over an unknown amount of money, say RCMP.

Police say the man drove westbound in a black Chevrolet truck on the Trans Canada Highway from the junction of PR 207. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and had his face covered during the robbery.

No one was injured in the robbery.
