RCMP are looking for two men who robbed a Steinbach business at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.

RCMP said a man dressed in black and wearing a ski mask over his face went into a business on 1st Street in Steinbach just after 4 p.m. He pointed a long-barreled gun at the business owner and demanded cash and a safe.

The man then made off with the goods in a red pickup truck that had been waiting nearby. RCMP said witnesses saw a second man wearing a ski mask driving the truck.

No one was injured in the robbery, and police are now looking for two suspects. One is described as a white male in his early 20s, about five-foot-ten with a slim build.

The vehicle used to make the getaway was a red 1996 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck with a single cab. The truck had no tail gate and was covered in rust. RCMP believe the vehicle may have been stolen earlier in the day from Morris.

Anyone with information is asked to call Steinbach RCMP at 204-326-1234 or Crime stoppers at 204-780-8477.

The RCMP is warning the public not to approach the suspects as they could be armed and dangerous. Officers continue to investigate.
