Oh, you know...it's just another sunny and very mild day in Winnipeg and across southern Manitoba on Thursday. Daytime highs around the region will easily surprass 0C. In fact, most areas already rose above freezing by the noon hour.
To give some perspective, the normal daytime high in Winnipeg for early December is -8C. Well, that is the forecast overnight low for the city tonight! And in case you're wondering, the normal overnight low right now is -17C.
Above seasonal temperatures will stick around well into next week.
Sunshine today will lead to mostly clear skies tonight. But be prepared for fog patches to develop overnight and into Friday morning. That could reduce visibility on roads and highways.
Temperatures across northern regions are also mild today. Flin Flon and The Pas are expected to reach 0C while most other areas will see highs between -8C and -3C. Most regions are sunny, while light snow is falling this afternoon in Gillam and Churchill.
