A 17-year-old boy is dead and another 17-year-old boy was sent to hospital after a single-vehicle rollover near Lorette early Sunday morning.
On Oct. 16, just after 4:30 a.m., Steinbach RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 207, just east of Provincial Road 31.
RCMP said the car had rolled and landed in the ditch on the north side of Highway 207.
The 17-year-old passenger from Lorette, Manitoba, was ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP.
RCMP said the 17-year-old driver, also from Lorette, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and RCMP said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
