Premier Greg Selinger still won’t say if he will remove the five ministers who broke rank from him from cabinet, if they continue to push him to step down.

“All options are on the table. I won't speculate how a private conversation will go,” said Selinger on CTV Morning Live Friday.

The premier and the ministers have agreed to discuss the leadership issue with him behind closed doors.

Earlier this week, Selinger refused to walk away after the ministers asked him to reflect on his leadership.

The inner turmoil within the NDP government could be impacting the business of the legislature.

The premier could not say if a fall session will take place.

“What I will commit to is an announcement very shortly, and that announcement will allow us to move forward in Manitoba," said Selinger

Selinger also said this week he will lead the NDP into the next election.

The five cabinet ministers who broke ranks with Premier Greg Selinger said Thursday they won't resign.

Finance Minister Jennifer Howard says they will continue to do the work of cabinet ministers.

Howard and four others in Selinger's inner circle suggested this week he step down over low poll numbers due to the PST hike.

Howard would not comment on Selinger's decision to stay on as leader, saying she will now keep those conversations private.
