Dancing Gabe is out dancing at almost every major sporting event in the city. Now his book has hit the shelves.

On Saturday night, there was a long line-up of sports fans at Shaw Park. All of them were eager to get their books signed by the local crowd pleaser.

“Dancing Gabe: One Step at a Time”, written by Daniel Perron, is the story of Gabe’s life.

Perron decided to publish the story of Gabriel Langlois or ‘Dancing Gabe” after Langlois’ brother asked him to pen the story.

As a child Langlois struggled with his behaviour. Over time he was encouraged and supported, and was eventually able to attend school.

The book takes the reader on a journey from when he was diagnosed with autism to his love of sports.

Gabe’s fans will get the chance to get their books signed once again on Sept. 8 in the atrium at McNally Robinson, Grant Park Plaza, at 7:00 p.m.

Porceeds from the book will be donated to the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation, Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ commitment to anti-bullying initiatives for young people in Manitoba.

Other proceeds from the book will go to a fund for Gabe.
