The Wildewood Club in south Winnipeg could soon be replaced by a large housing unit.
A city report recommends demolishing the club to construct 14 townhouses and a five-storey, 41-unit building.
In order to do that, the property would have to be re-zoned from park land to multi-family housing.
A public hearing wais scheduled the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16 in front of the City Centre Community Committee.
The committee approved the application.
That same committee turned down a similar proposal for the site in 2012.
The plan will require further approval at City Hall.
