Explorer Jordan Hanssen was on a 73-day journey rowing across the Atlantic when his boat capsized near the Bermuda Triangle.

Hanssen brought his harrowing story to the Winnipeg Rowing Club on Saturday.

It's a story he says kids can't get enough of. ”Kids love it. Kids love hearing about the dolphin stampede, swimming with whales. I saw a rainbow in the middle of the night, a moonbow. And they just get excited about that, and I think that it drives curiosity, and curiosity is the first step to learning about things.”

Hanssen hopes by telling his story, more people will care about our water system.

He’s planning his next adventure - travelling across Mississippi. The plan is to share his experiences with Canadian classrooms.
