An American woman is facing charges after a child abduction attempt in Stonewall.
RCMP say an 8 year old girl was alone in a car Friday outside an area mall when she was approached by a stranger, who repeatedly asked her to get into her car.
A detailed description of the suspect and her car were provided to police, and they were able to quickly track her down.
22 year old Loryn Sauerwein of Florida was arrested. She’s been charged with abduction of a person under 14 because there was enticement to take the girl away from her family.
Sauerwein was to appear in court Monday.
