The Manitoba town of Lynn Lake has an attractive offer for Americans, who don't like their options in the upcoming election.

On Tuesday the town sent out this tweet:

The town's mayor explained following the debate, social media chatter showed some American citizens are a little concerned.

“Some are actually publically saying they are considering relocating and leaving the united states,” said Mayor James Lindsay.

Lindsay explained that his town is currently short on skilled workers, and as long as your’re qualified to work in Canada the community will welcome you.

“We have a lack of plumbers, electricians, hair dressers and carpenters,” he added.

The town has been discussing different ideas on how to find creative ways to attract people to town and work in skilled trades.

Lindsay said Lynn Lake is a nice quiet town and is the sport fishing capital of Manitoba.

“If you are the kind of person who enjoys peace and quiet and tranquility this is one of the best places to be,” he said.

Lynn Lake is about 300 kilometers northwest of Thompson.
