Manitobans will no longer be able to use cosmetic chemical pesticides on their lawns.
The Selinger Government has announced a pesticide ban for lawns, driveways, sidewalks, schools and playgrounds.
The ban includes the sale and use of such products.
Homeowners and lawn care companies will have to use organic products.
Gardens, golf courses and farm operations are exempt from the new rules.
The ban won't come into effect until December 2014.
