Comic fans get ready, as all your favourite sci-fi and superhero characters are invading Winnipeg this weekend.
Central Canada Comic Con is taking over the RBC Convention Centre with booths of collectibles and other memorabilia.
Fans can visit artist, cosplay alleys and check out replicas of the Batmobile, Optimus Prime and Supernatural's impala.
The event will host special guest stars William Shatner, Tia Carrere and Mark Pellegrino.
CTV News spoke with Pellegrino who said the genre makes everyone feel like a big family.
“I love talking with the fans about anything under the sun,” he said. “I love the fact that fans and actors and shows have such access to each other now.”
Comic Con fans can also enjoy playing games and enter their outfits into the events costume contest.
The action pact weekend starts Friday and goes until Sunday.
