Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Winnipeg and much of southern Manitoba.

A Colorado low is expected to bring 10-15 cm of snow to Winnipeg today and another 2-6 cm tonight.

The storm system is also set to bring a large amount of snowfall to the Red River Valley, the Interlake, the Whiteshell Provincial Park, and Bisset regions.

Environment Canada warns that gusting northwesterly winds and blowing snow in open areas will develop overnight. Visibility may be reduced and drivers are warned to slow down and drive for the road conditions.
