The University of Manitoba and the union representing faculty members have reached an impasse in mediation talks.
The update on the negotiations was posted on the university website.
The strike deadline is tomorrow at 7am.
UMFA has been in negotiations with the administration since May.
The UMFA membership, which includes professors, instructors and librarians, voted 85.6 percent in favour of a strike.
