Dozens of people came out for a special service held Friday at Brookside Cemetery to remember Canada’s war veterans.
The Brookside Field of Honour is the oldest and largest military interment site in Canada, with more than 12,000 veterans, service women, service men and war heroes interred in it.
The 3.5 hour tour of the cemetery Friday was followed by a service at the Stone of Remembrance.
A number of services are slated to be held around Winnipeg on Sunday, Nov. 11 for Remembrance Day.
