A 20-year-old Gretna woman “suffered serious injuries” in a rollover near Altona on Sunday, said RCMP.

Police responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly after 4 p.m. on July 13 on Road 11 West in the RM of Rhineland, about 11 kilometres west of Altona.

The vehicle had been heading southbound when it lost control, entered the east ditch, rolled and hit the base of a tree, said RCMP.

The driver was taken to Altona hospital and stabilized there, before being transported to a Winnipeg hospital where she remains in critical condition, said RCMP on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the rollover.
