WINNIPEG -- A man is in hot water with police after he allegedly sold a ticket to a Winnipeg Jets playoff game at almost twice its original value.
Investigators say members of their counter-exploitation unit were near MTS Centre prior to Wednesday night's matchup between the Jets and the Anaheim Ducks.
They say a 51-year-old man sold them a ticket for $600.
The original value was $344.50, including taxes.
The ticket was seized and the seller was issued a notice under a section of the provincial Amusement Act for scalping.
The Jets lost 5-2 to the Ducks and were knocked out of the Stanley Cup playoffs in four straight games.
