Blaze destroys home in southwest Manitoba

Crews battled a fire at a home in Elm Creek on Monday morning.

RCMP and firefighters responded to Church Avenue in the community, about 80 km southwest of Winnipeg, around 9 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Crews were called after a passerby spotted the fire at the home.

Damage estimates are not yet available, but RCMP said the home is considered a total loss after the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. RCMP said it's not deemed suspicious in nature.
