RCMP have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male on the Garden Hill First Nation in Northern Manitoba with murder.
The victim, 22-year-old Peter Ronnie Taylor, was found badly beaten early Friday morning.
He was taken to the local nursing station, but died of his injuries.
Police say he died of blunt force trauma.
The 17-year-old suspect is also from Garden Hill.
He's charged with second degree murder and will appear in court Monday morning.
This is the reserve's second homicide investigation in less than two months. In August a 19-year-old man was stabbed to death.
Garden Hill is about 550 km northeast of Winnipeg on the shore of Island Lake.
